Do we need to be HKFC members to register our child?
No, unless they are under 8 years old.

What age does the academy cater for?
The junior netball academy caters for players between 7-19 year olds.

My child has never played/knows netball basics, can they join?
They can but every player has to trial - not everyone gets onto a team.

When does the season start and end?
The season starts from the end of August to April, with registration ending on August 18, 2023.

When are trainings and matches?
The season starts from the end of August to April, with registration ending on August 18, 2023.

My child plays netball for her school, do they need to trial?
Yes, all interested players must trial so we can evaluate their skills and allocate them into teams.

Is the netball program only for girls?
No. Boys are welcome to trial too.

What are the fees for the program?
Under 8s
$3,650 HKD/year for HKFC Members and non-members
Under 10s-14s
$4,550 HKD (HKFC Members) / $5’050 HKD (non-members)
Under 16s/19s
$4’350 HKD (HKFC Members) / $4’850 HKD (non-members)
Fees are charged annually. Participation per semester is not an option.

Could my child or the parent become HKFC members through joining the junior program?
No, HKFC memberships cannot be attained through the junior netball academy.

I'm a parent of a player and I’d like to help out. What opportunities are there?
You can be a team manager or help with umpiring/coaching (depending on qualifications).

I’ve missed the registration date, can my child still join the academy?
Players who have missed the registration deadline will be added to the waitlist. Should an existing player leave the academy, we will contact interested players.
